Patrick Kennedy emphasizes the need for market broadening and is looking more at the equal-weighted S&P 500 index to gauge how long the bull market can run, rather than the cap-weighted. “Bull markets don’t die of old age,” he says, but as they age, expectations become harder and harder to beat. “Next year is a show me story” because of this, he adds, with some concern towards earnings growth in 2026. He sees opportunities in natural gas and pipeline companies, along with biotech.
