Jeffrey Kleintop says the E.U. trade talks will be much slower than the U.K. or even China because it requires collective agreement from the Union countries. Thus, he expects Trump to get frustrated and continue escalations, provoking market volatility. “Nearly every country – July 9 is the deadline,” he notes, but “we’re a long way away from formal trade agreements.” Jeffrey also looks at Chinese stock buybacks and what it means for their market.
