Jason Ware thinks the labor market is still doing ok and says “most of the economy looks good.” He thinks Fed cuts could help the sluggish areas perk up. He reacts to the Challenger report and says he prefers the Initial Jobless Claims report for a better picture. Jason also digs into consumer spending, noting a slowdown in lower income discretionary spending that’s hitting fast food or low-cost retailers. “I think overall spending looks ok,” he concludes. He likes the Mag 7 minus Tesla (TSLA), TJX Companies (TJX), and Costco (COST).
