From 1985-2002 under both Republican and Democratic administrations, Phil Gramm served in the U.S. Senate representing the state of Texas. He joined Diane King Hall at the NYSE to discuss his latest book "The Triumph of Economic Freedom: Debunking the Seven Great Myths of American Capitalism" and the state of the U.S. Economy. Sen. Gramm weighs in on President Trump's tariff policy, saying tariffs don't work economically and impede the ability for the country to import products. Later he adds commentary on the "Big Beautiful Bill" being debated in Congress.
