“Things look very stable” after the latest CPI report, says Erin Gibbs. She thinks a 50 basis point cut is “off the table” but does think the Fed will cut rates this month. She recommends rebalancing your portfolio, taking tech gains and moving into more defensive positions. “We want to look at healthcare, telecom…companies that have more secular long-term trends that can really carry us through 2026.” She likes Palantir (PLTR), Thermo-Fisher (TMO), Cisco (CSCO), and Insulet (PODD).
