Christopher P. Davis thinks this December rate cut and Powell’s comments after could be tumultuous for markets as Powell enters his “lame duck” era. Christopher argues that Powell could begin speaking his mind more and be less hesitant in his comments on the economy. He also comments on the Fed Chair frontrunner, Hassett. As for opportunities, he says investors have overlooked energy and healthcare. He anticipates growing consumer strength and market broadening in 2026.
