An Australian early intervention program for deaf children is, for the first time, being piloted overseas. The therapy is for children whose family have chosen for them to be fitted with a hearing device such as a cochlear implant. The collaboration between not-for-profit The Shepherd Centre and health officials in Japan is a decade in the making, - オーストラリアの聴覚障害児向け早期介入プログラムが、国外で始めて、日本で試験的に導入されます。このプログラムは、人工内耳などの補聴器具を装着した、子どもたちとその家族が対象です。 非営利療育団体「シェパードセンター」と静岡県、県立病院機構が協定をむすび、実現したものです。
