In Adelaide, a young man of Indian origin, Charanpreet Singh, was allegedly attacked while sitting in his car. Police have charged a 20-year-old youth in connection with the incident, which took place on 19 July. The local police were alerted when a group of people reportedly assaulted Singh. According to the police statement, “The group dragged the man from his car and assaulted him before driving off in a Toyota sedan. The victim suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment."
