
Indian and Australian experts join hands to help save lives from drowning
On 17 February, around 40 experts from India and Australia came together for a two-day workshop to share expertise and develop strategies to reduce drowning deaths. With more than 38,000 drowning fatalities reported in India in 2022 and 357 deaths recorded in Australia in 2025, both countries are looking to learn from each other to strengthen water safety measures.
