The Mahabharata, one of Hindu mythology's oldest and most significant epics, is a complex story that cannot easily be summarized. Yet, Canada's Why Not Theatre condensed it into a three-part, five-hour theatrical production, which included a shared meal. This adaptation, created by Ravi Jain and Miriam Fernandes, was a highlight of this year's Perth Festival and featured poetry from Carole Satyamurti's 'Mahabharata: A Modern Retelling'. दक्षिण भारत के रहने वाले 19 वर्षीय अकरम 100 से भी अधिक भाषाएं समझ सकते हैं। यही नहीं वह 40 से अधिक भाषाएं बोल, लिख और पढ़ भी सकते हैं। ये कोई आम बात नहीं हैं, मात्र चार वर्ष की आयु से अकरम ने बहुत सी भाषाएं सीखनी शुरू कर दी थी। इसमें इनके पिता का बड़ा योगदान रहा जो स्वयं 16 भाषाओँ के जानकार हैं। अकरम ने भाषा सीखने की शुरुआत तमिल और इंग्लिश से की। आठ साल की आयु तक अकरम ने 50 भाषाएं सीख ली और इन भाषा की टाइपिंग करना भी शुरू कर दिया था।
