Show Notes

Spudd Webb, a six-foot-four guard, is leading Georgia Southerns basketball team to an incredible run in the Sun Belt Tournament. Averaging fifteen point five points per game and shooting over fifty percent from the floor, Webb has earned Sun Belt Player of the Week honors twice this season. He transferred to Georgia Southern after a successful stint at Emmanuel College and is the all-time leading scorer at Hart County High School. Webbs unique nickname comes from his grandparents and has added extra buzz to his breakout performances. In the tournament, he has stepped up big, averaging seventeen point six points and dropping thirty-one on number two seed Marshall. Georgia Southern faces number one seed Troy on Monday night for a shot at the NCAA Tournament.
