A World War Two B-24 Liberator bomber, one of the rarest intact models left, is undergoing a meticulous restoration at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force in Georgia. This project, a labor of love, aims to preserve the legacy of the brave veterans who flew these planes, as the last World War Two vets approach their centennial. The restored bomber is set to join the museums B-17 Flying Fortress indoors, completing the heavy bomber narrative from the Eighth Air Forces World War Two missions. The restoration process is expected to be completed by next year.
