This week the Wellington City Council committed to complete earthquake strengthening and renovations of Wellington Town Hall, approving an eyewatering $328 million budget.
The reason they’ve committed to this figure is because if they closed the site and demolished the building, it would allegedly cost about the same amount.
Kevin Milne is struggling to wrap his head around this fact.
