New Mexicos Children, Youth and Families Department has set ambitious goals for foster care this year, following the Kevin S. lawsuit. They aim to recruit 180 new nonrelative foster homes, serve 100 kids through the new Foster Care Plus program, and place 116 kids in treatment foster care.
