Meow Wolf, a collective of young artists, started in Santa Fe in 2008, creating wild installations and hosting music shows for a small donation. Their first major success, The Due Return, led to the House of Eternal Return in 2016, a massive interactive exhibit that revitalized a neighborhood and drew millions of visitors. Despite challenges like tragic losses, lawsuits, and pandemic-related layoffs, Meow Wolf has grown to over 1,000 employees and plans to expand to New York and Los Angeles.
