A mothers call to the suicide hotline on January 5th likely prevented a dangerous situation at an Albuquerque medical facility. An armed man, suffering from PTSD and mental health issues, was heading there, convinced it was harming patients. Police, alerted by the hotline, intercepted him, using crisis intervention training to de-escalate. He was taken into custody without incident, and the facility enhanced security.
