Eric Pohlkamp, a San Jose Sharks prospect and junior defenseman at Denver University, is a top ten finalist for the Hobey Baker Award. He leads all defensemen in goals and assists this season, and if he wins, hed be the first Sharks defenseman to do so since 2020. Pohlkamps recognition adds to the teams reputation for spotting talent, with two former Hobey winners already on the roster. The top three finalists will be announced on April 2nd, and the winner on April 10th.
