Jenna and Jake are best friends who make a bet that the first one to fall in love wins. They decide to stop talking to each other until Valentine's Day to focus on finding true love. Jenna is tired of going on blind dates and goes on a date on New Year's Eve that ends in disaster. She deletes the dating app she was using, SoulSync. Jake tries out SoulSync and has a string of bad dates. He and Jenna both end up meeting new people, Max and Eleanor respectively. They each develop feelings for their new love interests. However, both relationships turn out to be problematic. Ultimately, Jake and Jenna realize that they are in love with each other.
