Many of us struggle to understand why there is so much negativity, evil, and suffering in this world when we also believe in a God that loves us.
I just happened to be reading a book called "Christianity For People Who Aren't Christian" and it had a really powerful chapter explaining exactly why God "allows" evil and suffering.
