Show Notes
Utahs early summer heatwave is coming to an end as a series of storms bring much-needed rain and snow to the state. Starting Tuesday, two waves of moisture will hit Utah, ending a 25-day dry streak and breaking heat records. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected, with snow levels dropping to 7,000 feet. The storms will bring significant snowfall to mountain resorts, providing a much-needed boost after a severe drought forced nine ski resorts to close early. Valleys along the Wasatch Front can expect over an inch of rain, while southern Utah will see a milder impact. Temperatures will drop significantly, with freezing lows possible along the Wasatch Front.
