Utah ranks 43rd in fast-food spots per capita, with just 32.8 restaurants per 100,000 people, according to a new study. West Virginia leads the nation with 49.04. Utahs top local chains are Subway, McDonalds, and Taco Bell. The top ten states have mostly Southern and Midwestern locations, while Utah shares the bottom with Hawaii and California. Subway has over 50% more locations than McDonalds nationwide.
