Tragic Crash in Ogden: Eleven-Year-Old Girl Dies in Police Pursuit
A police pursuit of a stolen vehicle ended in a fatal crash in Ogden, claiming the life of an eleven-year-old girl. The driver of the stolen car, a fourteen-year-old boy, sped off after being spotted by officers, clipping a police cruiser before colliding with a family van at thirty-first Street and Grant Avenue. The girl was ejected from the van and pronounced dead at the scene. The other seven occupants of the van, including two adults and five children, were injured and hospitalized. The two teenage boys in the stolen car were also injured and hospitalized. The crash is being investigated by a special crash team, investigators, and a homicide task force. Charges will not be filed until the suspects are medically cleared.
