Riverton Silverwolves Softball Team Dominates Preseason with 19-3 Win Over Davis
The Riverton Silverwolves softball team had a breakout preseason game, defeating Davis 19-3. Both teams entered the game undefeated, but Rivertons offense took control, scoring 19 runs on 17 hits and 5 home runs. The teams bats finally clicked, with 5 players hitting home runs and 9 extra base hits in total.
Standout performances came from senior Maggie Hamblin, who went 4 for 5 with a double, home run, and 5 RBIs, and leadoff hitter Peyton Sanchez, who also homered and drove in 4 runs. Pitcher Lindsey Strieby came in after Peyton Sanchez and allowed only 2 hits and 6 strikeouts the rest of the game.
