Show Notes

Linda Myers, a former art shop owner, embarked on a lifelong journey of service to Navajo elders after a chance encounter in 1986. Her commitment led to the creation of Adopt-a-Native-Elder, a nonprofit now celebrating its fortieth year. Lindas dedication, including learning the Navajo language and building trust with the elders, has resulted in a program that delivers over a million pounds of goods annually to combat poverty in remote areas. As the program continues to grow, Linda prepares for a significant anniversary celebration with over eight hundred fifty elders enrolled.
