Even with an optimistic finish to the 2025 season, the New Orleans Saints lagged well behind the NFL in one specific category: Explosive plays, which are defined as pass plays of 16-plus yards or run plays of 12-plus yards. The issue improved with Tyler Shough at quarterback, but it feels like there's still plenty of room to grow.
