Show Notes

The White House is giving automakers a bit more time to determine the best way forward in terms of EV adoption. By adding plug-in hybrids to the mix and agreeing to concessions on powertrains, the US Department of Energy and EPA fuel efficiency rules that go into effect in 2026 are a compromise that will lead us to a cleaner world with fewer carbon emissions.

.

Listen in as Roberto Baldwin, Sustainability Editor, SAE Sustainable Mobility Solutions, breaks down these new fuel efficiency rules and explains why compromise helps us all breathe easier.
