Hospitality is a core theme throughout the drama of scripture. It communicates the outsider and sojourner as a welcomed and wanted part of the community. It opens the door to table fellowship, intimacy in relationship, and the dignified care of others. It is also one of the preeminent themes of the gospel... We who were far off have been brought near by Jesus.
