On the latest The Instigators Overtime podcast, Brian Duff and Martin Biron are joined by Cincinnati Cyclones head coach Jason Payne. The former 14-year pro hockey player detailed the many challenges of navigating this ECHL season with COVID-19, injuries and callups. He explained what it means to him to be part of the Sabres organization and participate in Sabres training camp. He also reflected on his personal journey in the game of hockey and how he uses that to relate to today’s generation of players. Payne discussed how he broke into coaching after playing, what kept him going and his passion for the game. He also talked about social media in hockey and his friendship with analyst Kevin Weekes. Finally, Duffer and Marty shared their Three Stars of the Week including a few from an upcoming Sabres opponent along with those featuring the letter J.
