A group of delvers has set up in Derelictus, a city built over the Heart, a massive extra-dimensional dungeon. The delvers live in the Halfway House, a building teetering on the edge of a ravine, and each has their own goals for risking life, limb, and soul to explore the Heart. They need hard coin to survive though and that means jobs. Their first job is to find a giant crab in the Sump Station, but first they have to find the station. The journey begins! The survivors just have to make it to dawn, but what unseen horror is coming for them? This is a new horror RPG I picked up on Itch.io. We gave it a try, so enjoy! We ran through it twice and put it together for this actual play.

The D4s found a cache of valuable technology. Computers that can still run Adobe Flash are incredibly valuable to people interested in exploiting old programs created by the government and large corporations. World building is a fun part of preparing a game but it's still work. Sometimes you may need help generating ideas. James D'Amato from the One Shot podcast released a new book called The Ultimate RPG Game Master's Worldbuilding Guide, which contains many exercises to build up a world. James and I went through one of the exercises to expand upon my game, Base Raiders. What happens 5 years after base raiding is commonplace? What magic and technology spreads across the world?
