The Royals played the Toronto Blue Jays on June 8, winning 8-4. Carlos Santana got four hits and one walk. The Royals then played the Baltimore Orioles on June 9, winning 7-5. MJ Melendez drew two walks and hit a home run. Bobby Witt Jr. had two multi-hit games in a row. The team won back-to-back games for the first time in nearly a month. The Royals are 19-37 on the season so far.

OK I promise I'm going somewhere with this. There's a chicken sandwich at Arby's that has been a token of improvement in my life. It's not an amazing sandwich and I'm not shilling for Arby's or anything. That's just the way it is. Since proclaiming my need to spend time away from the team, the Royals finally win baseball games, and their supposed least valuable player has started to show progress. Because -5 + 1 is progress, right? That's what the Royals say, anyway.
