Living drama-free! But then... - Royal de Lux #29

On May 25, the Royals had an off-day. May 26, the Royals played the Minnesota Twins and won by a score of 3-2. Danny Smeltzer pitched an excellent game for the Twins, going seven scoreless and not allowing a runner in scoring position the entire time, while Daniel Lynch performed adequately for the royals, pitching 5.1 innings and giving up two runs. In the 8th, the Royals were able to string together a few hits to score three runs in the inning, followed by a dramatic 2-inning save by Scott Barlow.

Show Notes

The Royals began the night with a stress-free ballgame, which is all I can ask for at this point even if they lose.  So be it!  Who cares if the Royals lose more games at this point!  Might as well!!  But then, as the night grows darker, the bullpen comes in and the tides change!  The fates of this game is about to change...!!  Okay, enough of that.  The bullpens came in and did some interesting stuff and it somehow led to a Royals win!  We'll take those.  Also, the Royals call up RHP Dylan Coleman and OF Brewer Hicklen in place of LHP Amir Garrett and OF Kyle Isbel, who are probably out with COVID for a bit.  It's not the call fans want to hear, but it's the right one for the occasion.
