View from the Gwladys: Old Everton habits die hard but Andre Gomes offers signs of brighter future

Frustration is the overall theme but the overriding positive has to be the return and impact of Andre Gomes. A number of players struggled on Sunday and the lads question where the likes of Sigurdsson, Iwobi and Schneiderlin go from here. Djibril Sidibe hasn’t had the best of times lately and there is much debate on whether he has been found out. Calvert-Lewin got Everton off to the perfect start but missed some great opportunities to get the Blues back in the game. Was he unlucky or just not clinical enough? It was a disappointing result but the lads do their best to take positives from it heading into a must win against Manchester United on at the weekend.
