We start up The Car Doctor today with calls. Ron starts this episode with a caller from PA and some questions about his 2015 Jaguar XF. The Jag recently had an engine noise which required a replacement of the timing chain and tensioners. EVER SINCE, it hesitates when starting out. Complicated? Yes! Tune in to hear how Ron breaks it down into a simple approach by following a diagnostic routine. With Fathers Day next month Ron announces his annual book giveaway with author interviews coming up soon. This year, one of the interviews will be with Thomas Glatch, covering his co-authored book, about to hit the book stores, The Complete Book of Dodge and Plymouth Muscle Cars. Ron continues the hour talking about what an OBD2 monitor is; how to complete them, what they mean as a diagnostic tool and in general their purpose in todays vehicle. His last caller is from CT; Brendan is experiencing a clunk from the front of his 07 Toyota Corolla; Ron helps us understand how to "take" the car apart mentally and figuratively to diagnose the problem to avoid just replacing parts.
