After kartel revived it in the early 2000's , there has been an argument that the newer dancehall artists are trying more to be accepted in the hip hop arena. From the beats, lyrical flow, the message to the production, all has been transformed to the point of acquiring features from hip hop giants.
like always time will tell. this mixtape covers the era of music which is in a state of confusion but must be appreciated .
