King Jesus was crucified on the cross. The Crucifixion of Jesus on the Cross is the defining point of the world and of our lives. The cross is where we see God’s judgment on sin and His grace for us intersect. The cross demands a response. How will you respond to Jesus? Jesus paid the price for your sins. Will you receive Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and respond to Him today? Jesus paid it all for you on the cross. Let’s worship King Jesus.

Easter is all about Jesus. In our culture, Easter can become about a lot of things - Easter eggs, Easter bunnies, Easter clothes, Easter chocolates and so much more. But, ultimately the real reason we celebrate Easter is because of Jesus. The greatest miracle of all has happened, and we come to worship and celebrate our Savior. Jesus willingly gave His life for us. And, our world and our lives will never be the same. It’s Easter, and Jesus is alive! Let’s worship King Jesus!

Boundaries are God’s way of preparing our character for His calling, but when we resist surrender and treat the holy as casual, we risk losing our way. Yet even in our deepest failures, we are not defined by our lack of strength, but by the redeeming grace of Jesus. Because of the cross, our story doesn’t end where we failed; it begins where He finished.

Through Israel’s battle against Jabin and Sisera, we’re reminded that courageous leadership starts with trusting God’s plan. Some battles are appointed by Him, and before we ever step into them, He is already there. God planned the battle, God secured the victory, and God received the glory. When leaders step up and people respond, God moves powerfully. Living for His glory is both a joy and a relief, because it’s not about us. Will we choose comfort and safety, or lay down our lives for the good of others and the glory of God?

God uses ordinary people in extraordinary ways. Our struggle is that we drift from God. We fall in love with the things of this world, and we forget the goodness, grace and blessings of our God. These are the times that we must repent - cry to God - and He will save us. Our strength is not in ourselves, but in the Spirit of the Lord. He alone is the One who can bring peace in our hearts and in our surroundings. Our world desperately needs godly courageous leaders today - will you be the one? Will you lead others to Jesus, the Prince of Peace? This is your time.

Emotional health is learning to live with a Spirit-guarded heart, where emotions are understood as information, not instructions. We cannot stop emotions from coming, but in Christ, we can choose how we respond to them in ways that protect both our hearts and the people downstream from us. Through the Spirit, we practice emotional regulation by pausing to create space, processing what we feel with truth and wisdom, and proceeding with a faithful, Spirit-led response. God meets us in this work, not to shame us for our emotions, but to lead us toward a life that is fully healthy and fully alive.

God created us for relationships. Our God is a relational God, and He created us to be in right relationship with Him and with others. However, there is the problem of sin. We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Sin impacts our relationship with God and with others (hurt people hurt people). But there is grace. Praise God for grace! Jesus came to die for our sins and to allow us, by the grace of God, to be restored in our relationship with God. Therefore, we should offer grace to one another. We are called to love others as God first loved us. So, how are you growing in your relationship with God and socially with others? Let’s grow in love.

Everyone faces battles in their mind. Loving Jesus doesn’t mean you won’t struggle with mental health. Faith and struggle can exist together. God calls us to renew our minds, stop carrying burdens alone, and come to Jesus for rest.

Jesus wants you to live your best life!. Jesus came so that you might have life and have it to the full (John 10:10). In order to live fully healthy, it all starts with your spiritual health. Your relationship with God impacts everything else in your life - your mental and emotional health, your present and your future, your parents and your children, your marriage or future marriage - every aspect of your life is impacted by your spiritual health. Let’s dive deep into our relationship with God and have 2026 be your best year yet! Live fully healthy!

Our church family invites you to an evening of joy, reflection, and awe as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. This special service offers a moment to step away from the holiday rush and experience peace, hope, and worship as we remember the incredible truth that God came to us as a child, bringing light to our world. Through teaching, prayer, Christmas carols, and family-friendly moments, we’ll reflect on Christ’s love and redemption and celebrate together as a church family.

The magi, Gentile seekers from the east, remind us that God draws people from every background to Himself. As they searched for the newborn King, they discovered that human wisdom can lead us to the wrong places, but God’s guidance never fails. When they finally encountered Him, their worship overflowed as they offered gold for His position, frankincense for His priesthood, and myrrh for His purpose. Their journey invites us to seek Jesus wholeheartedly and respond with worship when we find Him.

The Christmas tree is a beautiful Christmas Tradition. The Christmas tree was not a pagan symbol; in fact, it has been used by Christians throughout the centuries to remind and celebrate the gift of Christ Jesus. Trees are an important part of God’s Redemptive Story. God planted the first tree (The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil), then Jesus died on a tree (The Cross) to atone for our sins and finally all of history to culminate in the presence of a tree (The Tree of Life). This Christmas, let your tree tell God’s story and your story of redemption, grace and love. This Christmas, let’s celebrate Jesus and the Gift God has given us all in His birth and then death on a tree for you.

Before the turkey, the family, the friends, the football and the fun, let’s truly take time to enter His courts with Thanksgiving. This coming week, take some time to truly be thankful. Carve out time with the Lord each day in prayer, reading His Word and journaling your blessings. Express your gratitude to your family and friends. Let them all know how thankful you are for each of them. And, live out your Story of Thanksgiving this week. Let’s pray this is our best Thanksgiving yet.

There is such joy in Thanks and Giving. This is where we have the opportunity and privilege to grow in our relationship with Jesus as we thank God for what He has done in our lives and as we invest in His Kingdom. For followers of Jesus, Thanksgiving is not just one day, but every day of our lives. Our call is to invest in what is eternal. May we be found faithful in building God’s church and raising up the next generation in Christ. Let’s be generous and make a significant impact for the glory of our great God. We have been blessed not simply for ourselves, but to be a blessing. Let’s invest together as we build God’s Kingdom today. This is our time.

This is the Thanksgiving Season. Thanks and Giving are dear to the heart of God. All of us have so much for which to be thankful for in our lives - first and foremost is salvation in Jesus Christ. We are truly loved, redeemed and restored. Then, out of an overflow of gratitude, we want to give. We are most like God when we give. As a church, we have the opportunity to give God thanks for what He has done and to invest in building His Church to impact others. This is truly our time to live out our Thanks and Giving. Let’s invest generously in what God will do NEXT.

Revival is not over; Revival has just begun. Come, Holy Spirit! Our God is moving in a powerful way in our lives, His Church, our nation and world today. For all of us, the time has come to live in revival. To learn to live by the power and Presence of the Holy Spirit in you. When you accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, God places His Spirit in you. Now, we are called to live in the Spirit every day. To learn to hear His voice and then be obedient to what He calls us to. This is where the joy and the fruit is in the Christian life. Now is our time to grow in Christ. Revival is here!

The power of God is not found in our own attributes—it comes from the Holy Spirit. What’s in us is not enough, but who is in us is more than we will ever need. The Spirit empowers believers not only to speak of Jesus but to become more like Him, transforming observers into witnesses and consumers into participants. When the Spirit moves, the gospel does not sit still—it reaches from our neighborhoods to the ends of the earth. True power is not found in striving but in abiding, as we ask daily, listen intentionally, and step out boldly in faith.

Our God is a God of joy. God wants us to experience His joy and peace in this world. True joy only comes as we give everything to Him - all our worries, fears and concerns we lay at the foot of the cross, and know our God is Sovereign over it all. The result is a peace that passes understanding. True contentment comes in Christ and Christ alone. Will you choose joy today? Think about all Jesus has done for you and know that He will never let you go. You are forever His - your eternity is secure, your sins are forgiven, so let’s choose joy today.

What matters most in your life? In Philippians 3, Paul reminds us that true joy isn’t found in achievements, comparisons, or “good Christian” behavior — it’s found in Christ alone. We are called to rejoice in the Lord with a joy that defies circumstances. Paul warns against empty confidence, built on résumés, activity, or self-comparison. Instead, he points us to the greatest treasure: knowing Christ. Life with God isn’t about what we get from Him or do for Him — it’s about being with Him. When we slow down, tune in, ask honestly, and yield to His Spirit, we discover the deep, lasting joy that comes only from treasuring Christ above all.

The apostle Paul wrote the book of Philippians from - of all places - prison. He was in prison for being a Christ-follower. Yet, the entire book of Philippians is all about Joy. Paul wrote to the church in Philippi - a church he planted in Acts 16 - and the church had always supported him. Nineteen times, Paul uses the word “joy” in these four chapters. Paul did not plan to be in prison, but He trusted in God and exuded faith in the challenges. Because of Paul’s obedience to Christ, countless people were impacted for eternity. Life will not always go as planned for any of us, and we will all have decisions to make about how we respond - Choose Joy.

God’s vision for your life is to know Jesus personally, to be a part of His Church and to live in the Spirit. This is where we experience the full life God desires for us. We are God’s Church today. God has a vision for us to be devoted disciples. Our God is doing something truly special at Rolling Hills. This is our time to be His devoted disciples reaching out, growing up and giving all for His glory. What if the greatest era of God’s Church is not behind us but ahead of us? Let’s not miss it. Let’s live out God’s vision for our lives and for His Church today.

God is building a legacy through you—right where you are. Like Paul in Acts 28, you’re called to boldly live out the Kingdom of God in your everyday life. The Kingdom moves through your words, your actions, and your obedience. Your next chapter could be your most impactful one. Step into your Kingdom legacy today.

Boldness doesn’t come from personality — it comes from knowing Jesus deeply. Like Paul in Acts 26, we become bold when the gospel becomes personal. Real boldness starts in private with God, and overflows into how we pray, serve, and share hope with others. Who in your life is waiting for you to boldly share Christ?

Paul got it and lived it! And, I pray we will as well. Paul’s life was transformed by Jesus. Paul knew he was a servant of Jesus, and he lived his life on God’s agenda. Paul learned to listen to the Holy Spirit. When God prompted his heart, Paul responded. Paul built God’s Church and invited people to be a part of God’s greater story. Paul knew God was always with him. Even in the hardest times, Paul knew a miracle could happen. Will you live as a servant of Jesus? Will you praise in the darkness and invest your life in building God’s Church for His glory? This is our time. Let’s learn to listen to the Holy Spirit and to live as God’s people today.

God transformed Paul’s life through Jesus. Paul was angry, bitter, and a murdering man, even though he was religious. But when Paul met Jesus on that road to Damascus, his life was radically changed forever. Paul didn’t simply accept Christ and then live his own way, but he passionately grew in his relationship with Christ. Paul spent 14 years studying God’s Word and growing in Christ. God was preparing Paul for what God would do through him. God’s preparing you, so let’s grow in Christ. Now is our time to live our lives fully for the glory of our great God.

The conversion of Saul to Christianity is one of the defining moments in the history of the world. God transformed his life, and God wants to transform every one of us. Saul was the last person anyone ever thought would convert to Christianity. Never give up on people. Our God works miracles. Once Saul (Paul) was saved, he was baptized and became a servant of Jesus. There comes a point for every one of us where we have to make a decision about Jesus. Once we are saved, we want to be baptized and be a servant of Jesus. This is the greatest life ever! God filled Paul with the Holy Spirit and used him to impact the world. Will you trust God today?

Saul was a Jewish religious leader whose life was radically changed by Jesus. Saul grew up attending the synagogue. He was trained in the Old Testament. He was a Pharisee and a leader of the Jewish people. He even persecuted the Church of Jesus. You can be religious and not be a follower of Jesus. There are many religious people today. Have you ever fully committed your life to Jesus and become His disciple? Saul does, and his life is radically changed. His name is changed to Paul, and he goes on to become the “Apostle to the Gentiles.” God saves him spiritually and then uses his life to impact the world. Now is your time. Will you respond to Jesus today and live your life fully for Him? Let’s live as disciples of Jesus.

Time is precious. God has given us life. We were born for a reason and a purpose. We often complain that we don’t have enough time. It is really not about time, but about priorities. Therefore, we must prioritize the time God has given us and live each moment for Him. To know God is Sovereign over this world and over our lives. May we learn to understand how precious our time is so that we gain a heart of wisdom. Wisdom to live each moment for the glory of God.

Ecclesiastes was written by Solomon in his old age. Solomon was the wisest and wealthiest person to ever live. He was king over all Israel. Although Solomon started well, he did not finish well. He drifted from God and pursued the things of this world. He writes Ecclesiastes as a warning to those who come behind him to keep God first in their life. Solomon pursued everything this world has to offer and found it all “meaningless.” We all get one shot at life, so let’s not waste it on things that are trivial. Invest your life in what matters. Always keep God first.

Friday, it seemed all hope was lost. Jesus was dead in the tomb. But that was Friday. And today is Easter! Our Jesus is not dead; He is alive! Jesus conquered death and made a way for us to have a personal relationship with God. Jesus’ Resurrection from the dead changes everything. Now we have hope. Now, our lives are not defined by our sin, but defined by His grace. You matter to God. You matter so much that God sent His One and Only Son for you. Will you believe this today and commit your life to Jesus? Will you come alive in Christ and see your life changed for eternity? The Greatest Miracle of all is Jesus’s Resurrection. He conquered death and made a way for you to become fully alive! Let’s celebrate. He is Risen. It’s Easter!

Jesus is the Miracle Worker. Jesus is greater than anything we face in this life. Jesus has the power over life and death. We must know that Jesus’ miracles come in His timing - not always our timing. Do we pray for miracles and trust in His timing? Regardless of what you face in life, you can always know Jesus is greater. He loves you! Once you come alive in Christ, then live in His freedom as His disciple. Will you believe and experience a miracle today?

In John 9, we see a powerful story of healing that starts with mud, spit, and obedience but it quickly becomes something deeper. Jesus heals a man born blind, showing that God often does His greatest work through our pain. But the miracle doesn’t make life easier—it disrupts everything. The man loses his status, his neighbors' trust, his parents’ support, and his place in the religious community. Yet, as the conflict builds, so does his clarity. What began as physical healing becomes a journey of faith: first seeing Jesus as a man, then a prophet, and finally, the Son of God. The real miracle wasn’t just that he could see, it’s that he came to believe, and he worshipped.

As followers of Jesus, sometimes we can think that we will not have any problems. There are so many blessings with being a Christian, but we still live in a broken and fallen world, which means we will all go through storms. One day, it will all be perfect in Heaven, but until that day comes, we must learn to have faith in Jesus and live in His peace in the middle of the storms. God promises to “never leave us or forsake us.” Jesus will walk on water to come to us. And our faith must grow to the point to step out of the boat and trust in Him. With Jesus, you are never alone, and you can experience peace in your storm.

The story of Jesus healing at the Pool of Bethesda is more than just a physical miracle—it’s a picture of spiritual transformation. Just as the man had been waiting for years by the pool, stuck in his condition, many of us find ourselves trapped in cycles of waiting, hoping for change but unsure of how to step into healing. Jesus doesn’t just restore bodies; He calls us to get up, pick up our past, and walk forward in faith, leaving behind the things that once held us back and stepping into the new life He offers.

Jesus’ miracles, showing that miracles are not just about physical healing but about restoring faith and revealing God’s greater purpose. This moment builds on previous signs, leading to deeper belief in Jesus as the source of life. The nobleman’s desperate plea for his son’s life mirrors our own need for healing and hope, reminding us that hope leads to faith even when circumstances seem hopeless. Ultimately, the miracle points beyond itself—to God’s desire to heal not only individuals, but entire families, communities, and a broken world. Just as God gave His Son to bring eternal life, He uses moments of healing to invite us into belief.

Miracles happen. God’s miracles did not only occur in Biblical times, but the same God still does miracles today. In our Easter series, we will walk through the eight miracles of Jesus recorded in the Gospel of John. Jesus’ first miracle was turning water to wine at a wedding in Cana of Galilee. This miracle saved a couple from social embarrassment and revealed a God who loves us and is involved in the details of our lives. Regardless of where you are in your life journey today, always know when Jesus is present a miracle can happen. Pray bold prayers. Always trust and believe in the One who does miracles!

Parenting is the hardest thing you will ever do in your life and yet the most beautiful and rewarding. The church is called to raise up the next generation in the Lord. This takes all of us. Parenting today is a challenge, but our God is faithful. God has entrusted your children to you, and our children to us as His Church. Parenting doesn’t stop at 18, but takes a lifetime. Many times, “bigger kids, bigger problems,” and we are called to pray and trust in the Sovereignty of our God. He loves our children even more than we do. Let’s spend our life knowing Jesus and passing on what He has poured into us to the next generation. This is our time!

Parenting is not just about raising good kids—it’s about raising them to know, love, and follow Jesus. Our role is to intentionally guide them through the Spiritual Mile Markers of life, transferring their dependence from us to God. What we model, they will absorb. So ask yourself: Are you creating a home where faith is lived, not just spoken? Let’s be parents who don’t just hope our kids find Jesus—we lead them there by the way we live, love, and trust Him ourselves.

Parents are called to guide their children with wisdom, setting firm yet loving boundaries, especially in the digital age. While the internet and smartphones have revolutionized the world, they have also exposed children to risks, often with little regulation. To foster self-regulation and well-adjusted adulthood, parents must set clear digital boundaries—limiting screen time, restricting content, designating device-free spaces, and modeling healthy tech habits. However, boundaries must be implemented with understanding and relationship, using them as teaching moments rooted in biblical wisdom. Practical steps, such as delaying smartphones and social media, promoting offline play, and staying steadfast in the long journey of parenting, remind parents that they are not alone—God is their shepherd in this mission.

Parenting today can be the greatest joy and yet the most challenging part of anyone’s life. But, God wants us to succeed! God wants us to thrive in our parenting and not just survive. Therefore, God gives us His Word, His Spirit and His Church. Having a personal, growing relationship with God through Jesus Christ, His Son, is the most important part of parenting. And, having godly leaders at church is so essential to raising our kids and the next generation in Christ. Let’s cover our children in prayer and endeavor to thrive in parenting today.

God wants you to grow in your faith and to share His love with others. This comes by being rooted in Christ. Growing deep roots in Jesus and then allowing His love to flow out of you. Jesus then calls us to plant seeds of the Gospel in the hearts and lives of others. “The harvest is plentiful…,” Jesus said, “...but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest field.” Matthew 9. God has called each of us to share our faith and to invest in others for His glory. This is where we grow spiritually and impact the world for Christ.

It’s the start of the New Year, and I pray 2025 will be your best year yet. I pray you will prosper in every area of your life this year. It all starts with your relationship with God. Will you commit to grow spiritually this year? What is the next step for you - accepting Christ, being baptized, joining the church, joining a Community Group, Men’s or Women’s Group, serving at church, reading your Bible, praying regularly, journaling or maybe a mission trip? There are so many ways to grow spiritually this year. Commit to be at church and to grow in your relationship with God. I’m praying for you in 2025! Know God has a great plan and purpose for you!

“The world looks for happiness through self-assertion. The Christian knows that joy is found in self-abandonment. 'If a man will let himself be lost for My sake,' Jesus said, 'he will find his true self.” Elizabeth Elliot What an amazing quotation from Elizabeth Elliot, who by the way is uniquely capable of commenting on where joy comes from as her husband, Jim, was put to death in South America for the sake of the Gospel. Instead of harboring bitterness, she forgave and eventually went back to the very tribe of people who put her husband to death to continue telling them about Jesus. What Elizabeth says, is that we look for happiness by self-assertion. Happiness comes when I get to insert myself into whatever situation I want and I get whatever I want. However, the Christ follower knows that joy is found in self-abandonment. By putting myself last, losing myself, and in doing so I find Jesus and the joy that comes from him alone. May you find joy this Christmas in putting yourself last, and putting Jesus first.
