Show Notes

On Wednesday morning, the University of Alabama announced that head football coach Nick Saban had tested positive for COVID-19.

Unlike the situation from a month ago, UA isn't treating Saban's latest result as a potential false negative. With that Saban, despite suffering from minimal symptoms, entered isolation, leaving offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian as the interim boss heading into Saturday's Iron Bowl matchup with Auburn.

In the aftermath, BOL staffers Charlie Potter and Travis Reier convened to discuss the ramifications of Saban's absence, including how the remainder of the practice week will likely play out; how contact tracing might come into play; prospects for a Senior Day ceremony on Saturday; and where and when Saban might coach his next game.
