This is the true story of Captain Currier of the U.S. Submarine service and first skipper of NSSB Kings Bay, GA who was punished by Admiral Hymen Rickover for stealing government bought IBM Selectric III typewriters and giving them away and selling them to gain favors (at taxpayer's expense). Today he'd have been court-martialed.
