Sarah and I are smashing beignets at Cafe Du Monde in the French Quarter of New Orleans. We just left Euclid, a record store on the East side of town with a stack of vinyl and I’m suddenly struck with a realization… The reason I just had such a killer experience discovering new music is directly related to a conversation I had with my friends Ian and Jorge this last summer about coming up with a better question to ask when asking for a recommendation. Sushi, beer, food, cocktails, music… doesn’t matter. This shit works and I wish I would have known about it years ago!
