+++ Daily Guinness #005 - Wait, you want to 'Poke' my beer? (feat. Joel Scott of Northbound BrewPub)

“Give Us This Day Our Daily Guinness” - DAY 5   Germany has a winter tradition of brewing a dark-strong beer called an "Eisbock" (pronounced Ice-Bock... yes... Ice is actually involved) But here's the real kicker: Tradition is to heat up an iron rod till it gets red hot and 'poke' your beer by sticking it in for a split second. The reaction is an instant boiling frothy head, a toasty aroma and the rest of the beer stays cold.
