Lamentations 4:1-17
This chapter better helps us to see God’s value system. God doesn’t respect what we respect; his ways are not our ways. But Lamentation necessitates us to struggle and find liberation in honesty before God: we fall short and we will continue to do so; thus we can never hope in ourselves: we hope only in God’s restoration and his righteousness, not in our own strength.
