RIP a LIVECAST #361 - Girl Guy Girl

This was another hilarious edition of RIP a Livecast. We kick it off with a candid discussion of Disturbed and their ability to ruin covers. We discuss Memorial Day and spend a good portion of time debating the sincerity of John Cena. Squared Circle Pit #5 - EVERY TIME I DIE's Andy Williams Talks Training To Be A Pro Wrestler

E

This edition of the wrestling-meets-metal podcast features very special guest, Andy Williams, guitarist of Every Time I Die, and professional wrestler in training. Of all the episodes recorded of Squared Circle Pit so far, this was the longest, because we just had so much to talk about. We kicked off the conversation discussing what inspired Andy to pursue training for pro wrestling, and he revealed that CM Punk was his inspiration. We discuss his training and how preparing for a rock gig compares to preparing for a match. We go deep talking about independent promotions like PWG, ROH, CZW as well as old-school NWA, and a lot more. SquaredCirclePit #4 - Hanno from MANTAR Talks Learning American Pop Culture From Pro Wrestling

E

This was quite an enlighting conversation for me. I spoke to Hanno from Mantar, an awesome new death-and-roll duo. Hanno is from Germany so it was fascinating learning how a German person interpreted the overly nationalistic storylines of the WWF at the time. Hanno talks his favorite moments from the early 90s, his favorite wrestlers and perhaps the greatest retelling of the Yokozuna Body Slam challenge I have ever heard. We also discuss Doink the Clown, I.R.S., Abe "Knuckle Ball" Schwartz and the Macho Man.At the end of the interview, we played the new Mantar track "Era Borealis" from their album, Ode to the Flame out now on Nuclear Blast.
