Margaret Wise Brown put her sense of wonder and whimsy into all of her children's books, including Goodnight Moon. Her lesbian lover Michael Strange was a smack-talking erotic poet who didn't have much respect for those "baby books." But Margaret showed her and the world by creating a sensation in children's literature that still gets stuck in parents' heads to this very day!
