In the article,”What 20 Seconds of Hugging Can Do For You” from psychologytoday.com, research found that hugging for 20 seconds can significantly decrease cortisol levels and increase oxytocin levels. It has also been found that giving a hug also makes the hugger feel good, less stressed and more emotionally connected. Do your heart some good and give a hug!
