The Homeless Children’s Education Fund (HCEF) supports the educational needs of children experiencing homelessness in Allegheny County, guiding them to be productive, empowered citizens. A.J. Jefferson, the CEO of HCEF was on the Rick Dayton Show a few hours after they hosted the first annual Homeless Youth Policy Legislative Breakfast. She says elected officials and community leaders from Southwestern Pennsylvania participated in a discussion on state policies supporting unstably housed youth as they transition to adulthood.
