Approximately 100,000 cases of Lyme Disease are diagnosed in Pennsylvania each year, the most in the country. Tick-borne illnesses like Lyme's Disease cost the healthcare industry 1 billion dollars each year. Dr. Jill Henning is a professor of Biology at the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown. She and a team of researchers at Pitt have received money to develop a tick repellent. Dr. Henning tells Rick Dayton, they are making good progress and could have a product on the market in less than two years.
