Should twins born to ewe hoggets and grown out to heavy weights be retained as replacements and mated as ewe lambs? Well, that’s the question which a Beef + Lamb NZ and Massey University research project sought to answer by following the lifetime performance of single and twin ewe lambs born in 2017 from a hogget mating… The project has now concluded, or is close to it, and has been led by Professor Hugh Blair from Massey University who joins us now
