The Government has backtracked on on-farm sequestration after well, let’s call it a bit of a backlash. At the Fieldays the Prime Minister announced a plan to enable farms to claim credit for carbon sequestration under the Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS). So we’ve dragged in Federated Farmers President Andrew Hoggard to give us a bit of a debrief.
