Organizing gets the goods! Due to a pressure campaign by NYC-DSA Healthcare Working Group and allies, Hakeem Jeffries, the 4th ranking House Democrat, now officially supports Medicare For All. Today we spoke with NYC-DSA Healthcare Working Group about their efforts to reach out directly with communities across New York in order to build a movement to make health care free at the point of service. Then the organizers let us know what comes next in the struggle for Medicare for All and how you can get involved.
