David many times was physically threatened but in addition he was also attacked through the silent arrows of gossip and slander. If one focuses on the negativity of others it will only bring more. Rather, we should focus on what God has us here to do which rises above the temporal nature of man’s thoughts. Easier said than done, but when done well it sets one free.
