Jesus had predicted that after His resurrection and ascension He would take His rightful place next to God the Father. After boldly witnessing for Christ before the Sanhedrin, Stephen was allowed to see the fulfillment of this promise from the Savior. Stephen died with great assurance before Christ.
How we handle our own death speaks to what we believe. Christians have the opportunity to glorify God when we die, boldly declaring our confidence that we will spend eternity with our Savior.
